To Make Matters Worse
Today was the last day of the season but my season ended a week ago. Unfortunately, the Royals had a very frustrating year and for the first time in franchise history had 100 losses. Not only was it frustrating for them, but also for myself.

Season Over
The Omaha Royals season has come to an end, with a second place finish in our division. We ended two games back of Salt Lake, but just couldn't get over the hump and catch them. We were within one game a couple of times, but we weren't playing our best baseball.

Just Another Reminder
I was optioned back to Omaha again on July 20th, but instead of Making that all too familiar drive north on I-29 I opted to fly instead.

Roller Coaster Continues
Interstate 29 is becoming a very familiar drive and it's great when I'm headed southbound. I was recalled back to Kansas City in early June when Chuck Knoblauch injured his forearm.

Leaving Las Vegas
Since I last wrote I have been up in the big leagues and back to AAA once again. I was up in the big leagues for about two weeks, but then it was off to Las Vegas to meet up with Omaha.

Demotion
The days of chartered flights, 4 star hotels and extra meal money have been put on hold. Back to 6 AM flights, seedy hotels and minimal meal money.

Opening Day
With two days left in spring training I was still in limbo on whether I was going to make the team or not. This was the day they were going to make their final decision. The Royals had to decide if they wanted to keep 11 or 12 pitchers.

My Journey
As I prepared to head off for Spring Training I had many thoughts on my mind. What is big league camp like? What are my chances of making the big league team? Have I done everything I could this off-season to prepare myself for the upcoming season? To realize where I am now you must know how long it has taken me to get here.
