Narveson Playoff Bound
Wow, how fast has the year gone by. It seems likes just yesterday that I was sitting in spring training wondering what was going to happen and where I was going to start the season.

Futures Game
Another 2 weeks have gone by and so much has happened. Since being called up to AA I have been selected to go play in the futures all-star game which takes place on the Sunday before the major league all-star game.

Tennessee
Well , its been another few weeks, and so much has happened since then. I have been moved up to AA Tennessee. After having a few quality starts in West Palm, I got the call telling me I was moving on up.

FSL All-Star
Well, it's finally here. The halfway point of the season arrived a lot faster then expected. I was fortunate enough to make the all star team in the Florida State league which is a great honor, especially because the elections are made by the other coaches in the league.

Rainouts taking toll
The fresh smell of summer is here, as well is the wonderful humidity in Florida. The amount of rain and cancelled games has been unbelievable.

Deep Breathing
It's been another two weeks and everything seems to be going by so fast now. I'm in the midst of trying to correct of few things in my mechanics but overall I am starting to feel more comfortable out on the mound.

Hit the Highs and the Lows
Well, its time for another entry, and so much has happened since my last one. It seems like I have hit the high of highs and the low of lows all in 2 weeks.

Up and Down
I'm back, and I'm three starts into the regular season. It was a great spring training for me , which I think helped me earn the opening night start.

Palm Beach for Starters
I have only been in pro ball for about 3 years, but I already feel different when I come into the clubhouse in spring training. Its just I just feel totally relaxed and happy to be doing what I love again.

Looking Ahead
It's nearing the end of the year which seemed so far away just a little while ago. I cannot believe that we are in the last week of the season.

Better Pitcher for It
Well, it's coming down to the last two weeks of the season which is the hardest part of the whole year. You have to buckle down and concentrate just a little bit more because it seems like every pitch could be the difference of whether or not you win the ball game.

Being Consistent, Consistently
The season is starting to wind down as we head into the dog days of August. It has been looking pretty good for our team here in Peoria in the Midwest League. They won the first half and are looking strong in the second half.

Back to the Midwest
Well, I am finally out of Johnson City. I finished up my rehab a couple of days ago after meeting my goal of throwing 75 pitches in two consecutive starts.

Johnson City
Well, I am finally on a team. I have made it up to Johnson City, Tennessee where I will start about 3 or 4 times for my rehab assignment before I head out to a full season team. It has been a great time down here so far. It is kind of different with the players down here because they are totally different then the guys I played with last year.

Getting Closer
Well it's been a long two weeks to say the least. Being out in the sun and going out early every morning is beginning to take its toll .

Appreciating the Game
Enduring the sun and trying to get through the early and long days in extended spring training is the biggest hurdle at the moment for me.

Spring Training Extended
Well , it's the last week of spring training and everyone is starting to wear down a little . Yet, everyone is still eager to get their season started. A few unlucky players , like myself, will start the season on the rehab squad in extended spring training.

Favorite Time of Year
Oh how I just love this time of year, when the mitts get dusted off and the bats get thrown over your shoulder and you head out to the old ballpark. For me, it was a totally different experience as I never had to dust anything off--I grew up playing baseball almost everyday for 12 months of the year. Eventually, all of my hard work and dedication paid off on that special day in which I got drafted.
